YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Publicist will be responsible for publicity campaigns for children’s and young adult book authors/illustrators as assigned: 

  • Creating comprehensive tour schedules,

  • Scheduling travel, arranging media interviews,

  • Writing press materials and pitch letters,

  • Researching media contacts, fulfilling review copy requests. 

HOW YOU CAN FIT  

  • The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Minimum 3 years working in book publicity required.

  • Knowledge of children’s books and media preferred.

  • Familiarity with media databases such as Cision and Publicity Assistant a plus.
