THE OPPORTUNITY
 
Scholastic has embarked on a journey to deploy an enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System on the Salesforce.com platform. We are in the process of building a state-of-art CRM system to enable data-guided selling which is powered with predictive analytics capabilities.  The CRM system will serve to close to 2000 users and it will integrate with various enterprise applications including Enterprise Resources planning (ERP), Master Data Management (MDM), Business Intelligence (BI) and other systems.
 
 
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Salesforce.com technical architect will serve as Technical subject matter expert on Salesforce.com platform and will consult implementation teams on the design and architecture of various solution components.  This includes:
 
1. Define the technical execution approach for a business requirement, using configuration, development or a combination of the two.
 
2. Architecture of integration approach between salesforce and other enterprise systems.
 
3. Implementation of Salesforce.com development best practices including Test driven development, collective code ownership, Continuous Integration and Continuous development (CICD).
 
4. Evaluation of Appexchange and other add-on products for technical and functional fit
 
5. Define salesforce.com environment management strategy including backup, and performance. 
 
6. Will be a member of Enterprise Architecture Council to ensure alignment with Enterprise architecture and Engineering best Practices.
 
 
HOW YOU CAN FIT
 
1. 10+ years of experience on salesforce.com platform. Thorough knowledge of salesforce.com platform is required including Lightning, Visualforce, Apex, newer domains such as Einstein, Salesforce and Big objects.

2. In-depth knowledge of Integration patterns for Integrating salesforce.com with other enterprise systems

3. Knowledge of Salesforce development best practices including test-driven development, Continuous Integration and Deployment (CICD) and collective code ownership.

4. Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.

5. Knowledge of related domains such as Master Data Management, Data Engineering, Analytics and Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) desired.

6. College Degree or above needed.

7. Salesforce.com platform certifications desired.
