HOW YOU CAN FIT    (Qualifications)

Candidates for this position will be expected to provide confirmation of past experience and expertise in the following job functions and responsibilities:

  • Establish trusted internal and external relationships with subsidiary rights holders to significantly contribute to improving the title selection and availability of books and product, both print and digital, sold by the Scholastic Education Group.
  • Collaborate with internal Finance teams to develop and deliver convincing business cases/analytics presentations to external rights holders
  • Contribute to budgeting and business planning in connection with acquisition projections, including project roadmaps year-over-year
  • Work with internal Scholastic teams to maximize rights acquisitions across the broadest markets possible
  • Manage and track deal memos and contracts through product lifecycle
  • Manage and track renewals and terminations
  • Vet and respond to ongoing rights inquiries connected with the Education Group business
  • Liaise and coordinate with other Scholastic business units on rights-related matters
  • Maintain rights data in corporate systems and division databases
