THE OPPORTUNITY

Manage multiple commissioned sales representative groups and grow sales and placement of Scholastic Trade books and Klutz products within the specialty retail channel throughout the country, including but not limited to gift shops, toy stores, clothing boutiques, hardware stores, art supply stores, etc.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 50% of time: Manage commissioned sales representative groups, which includes sales rep training on Scholastic and Klutz list; building strong relationships with sales reps and accounts; creating and monitoring sales goals; interviewing and assisting with the hiring of new reps.
  • 10% of time: Directly manage and sell Scholastic and Klutz list to key Specialty in-house accounts.
  • 5% of time: Create and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly sales analysis reports, email marketing blasts, and promotions.
  • 15% of time: Attend high volume trade shows and act at the point person for showroom layout and setup.
  • 5% of time: Actively research and pursue new business opportunities.
  • 5% of time: Entering forecasting estimates in POET
  • 5% of time: Escalate and resolve account and sales representative issues
  • 5% of time: Prepare, monitor, and distribute bi-annual Trade specialty catalog with assistance from Marketing and Design.
  • Provide catalog/item feedback for Klutz specialty catalog.

HOW YOU CAN FIT

Bachelor degree
• 3-5 years prior sales experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to travel as needed
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
