THE OPPORTUNITY

Based in New York City and reporting to the Executive Director, Digital Experiences – the Director of Growth and Acquisition will define a comprehensive strategy for establishing the organization’s growth and acquisition marketing plan across Scholastic.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will provide leadership, ownership, and drive results in the following key areas:

• Develop sophisticated acquisition strategies across search, social media, and display that meet the unique demands of customer segments while overseeing the health of customer acquisition
• Provide ongoing intelligence and analysis on traffic and revenue driven by digital marketing tactics inside and outside of campaigns, and recommend a continuous testing cycle to improve our results
• Work with the Data and Analytics team to track and report insights on customer behavior and test potential variations in order to improve our performance
• Own the marketing scorecard, report results on an ongoing basis and in support of senior executive review and decision making
• Act as a “product owner” for a measurement dashboard that will be created in order to inform business stakeholders of the various data sources available
• Ensure that stakeholders at all levels understand the insights that are collected and the impact of decisions related to digital marketing efforts across the trio of time, quality, and cost
• Oversee the digital paid media budget and all media buying strategies
• Fine tune an already established data collection process to ensure your team are measuring the right things
• Ensure all teams within digital marketing know how to use data to optimize their efforts


HOW YOU CAN FIT

• Marketing leader with an analytical mindset who has proven experience building out a team of channel experts
• A proven record of establishing paid media programs consisting of integrated tactics of search, display, SEO, and social
• Hands-on experience with a variety of digital marketing and measurement platforms including: paid social (i.e. Facebook business manager, Facebook ads manager), paid search/display (i.e. GA/GA Premium, GDN), and analytics (Adobe Analytics/Omniture or Google)
• Demonstrated experience with Excel (e.g., Vlookups, Pivot tables, correlations) and experience using visualization tools (Tableau) highly preferred
• Experience managing specialist vendors, agencies and marketing technology providers
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Ability to be an influential voice for best practices in growth and acquisition marketing and be passionate about the role evolving technology can play in providing value to users
