THE OPPORTUNITY

The Scholastic Texas Per Diem position will support the Texas sales team during the Pre-Kindergarten adoption. The Scholastic Texas Per Diem will work closely with local Account Executives to successfully execute the strategic sales plan as outlined by the Regional Director of Sales.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Calling into districts to gather information and identify key decision makers

- Delivering adoption samples and marketing materials as requested

-Provide support for the field via sales presentations, large meetings, and lunch and learns, WebEx Sessions for large opportunities and additional sales support via phone calls, etc.

-Maintain the highest degree of product knowledge. Know competitive product set and help successfully position PKOMW as a highly effective program.

-Support additional follow up required after meetings and presentations in order to support the close of business.

-Maintain and cultivate professional relationships with districts, literacy partners, and the Scholastic internal team.

-Prepare packets and/or folders for campaigns, presentations, and workshops.

 

HOW YOU CAN FIT  - Skills and Requirements:

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills in one-on-one discussions as well as small group and committee presentations.
  • Ability to establish positive rapport with teachers and administrators and work effectively with educators from diverse backgrounds.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Have proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Conduct Webinars with customers remotely as needed.
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience and district experience is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible travel schedule
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
