Scope of Responsibilities
A Scholastic Education Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will work in collaboration with several Outside Account Executives in an assigned territory to enhance coverage and increase sales revenue. The ISR maintains primary responsibility for small and/or rural accounts.

Specific Responsibilities
A Scholastic Education Group ISR will be assigned to specific territories. They will utilize phone, mail, email, WebEx, and presentations in an effort to reach customers within those territories to maintain the current business and generate new business based on customer need. They will hold in-depth conversations about comprehensive literacy solutions, and how the extensive Scholastic Education product line can support their specific school/district initiatives.  The main goal is to increase revenue in small and/or rural accounts as well as help their Outside Account Executive counterparts with efforts supporting larger customer accounts.

The ISR is required to meet established sales goals and customer contact rates.

The ISR is required to build and maintain a dependable pipeline at all times as well as creating sales quotes and proposals based on customer needs.

The ISR will eventually return to travel approximately 25% of the time to provide customer support and attend Educational conferences and corporate sponsored training and sales meetings. 



A background in k-12 sales or education is preferred but is not mandatory.

Skills Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Computer and Digital Presentation skills

Strong organizational and time management skills



Experience in Education and/or Inside Sales

Proven track record of generating sales of 2 mm + annually
