1. Develop monthly, turn-key professional learning content for Literacy Leadership teams around literacy best practices

2. Align work with district’s Balanced Literacy strategies

3. Pre-plan session content monthly with district Literacy teams via phone and/or in person

4. Deliver the professional learning sessions monthly to groups of coaches, teachers, school leaders, and district administrators

5. Support administrators in building content knowledge and understanding their role in the implementation process

6. Provide feedback as part of the coaching cycle to pinpoint areas of progress as well as development opportunities

7. Maintain highest degree of expertise in literacy instruction and Scholastic product knowledge

8. Communicate regularly with project managers about the ongoing professional learning needs of the customer

9.  Maintain professional relationships with customers

10. Cultivate and maintain relationships with team and partners


•       Deep Knowledge and experience with literacy practices, models, pedagogy and research based strategies

•        Master's Degree (or progress toward a Degree) in education, literacy, and/or reading related field

•        At least 3-5 years experience facilitating face-to-face professional learning in early literacy and/or early childhood content 

•       Minimum of 5-7 years teaching/coaching experience 

•       Minimum of 2-5 years building or district leadership/administrative experience

•       Ability to maintain a travel schedule

•       Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Power Point

•       Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

•       Facilitation skills, professionalism and creativity

•       Criminal Background Checks

•       Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

•       Current knowledge of college and career readiness standards
