THE OPPORTUNITY
 
Scholastic is seeking a Marketing Manager to work within the licensing team and the entertainment group to support marketing efforts on new television programs and licensing programs. The marketing manager will be creating decks and presentation materials for external and internal stakeholders, new clients and licensing partners. They will oversee the digital deliverables, marketing assets and brand information to our key broadcast partners, licensing partners, and internal publishing and marketing partners. This role will manage all approvals and edits to licensed/broadcast marketing materials both internally and externally. They will manage the marketing budget and attend key shows and events with the licensing team (Licensing Show, Toy Fair, BEA).

 
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
 
• Marketing Materials 
o Oversee advertising design and placement.  (average 2- 3 times per year)
o Coordinate creation of digital and print marketing assets.
o Develop pitch decks for potential partners. (TV,  licensing)
• Communication & Presentation
o Work with key internal partners to create brand calendars.
o Coordinate messaging and assets with Corporate Communications.
o Work with Marketing (publishing) on certain social media messaging
o Work with Entertainment team and work independently to create copy for varied marketing and presentation needs
o Attend key sales meetings and reviews with vendors and licensing partners.
o Maintain communication with key partners.
o Maintain SEI's content information (publishing info, broadcast info, licensee lists, etc.)
o Share new product information and launches with internal partners.
• Budget
o Manage licensing marketing budget.
o Create and oversee licensing trade advertising budgets.
• Research
o Current marketing trends and opportunities.
o Retailers
o Occasional TV content research
• Strategy & Planning
o Work with Entertainment VPs and licensing team to create marketing plans for show launches and new product releases.
o Work with external PR team on reporting, strategy and asset approvals.
o Coordinate press interviews with internal spokespeople and the external PR team.
o Work with Scholastic marketing and external partners with Social Media messaging for Entertainment brands

HOW YOU CAN FIT

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Liberal Arts or related field
• 1–5 years related experience
• Experience creating vivid social media campaigns
