What is Scholastic all about? Helping the individual child grow and learn. What we do every day is start with the child we’re trying to reach. We seek to understand their frame of reference, what that child is experiencing, what they are dreaming about, wanting for themselves and what might they know or not know. Mostly, we get into the heart of that child to understand what they will uniquely respond to. We seek to give each individual child tools and skills to navigate their own future. We bring stories and information that will interest them. We engage the teacher, school and parent to pull all the pieces of the child’s life together so they can have that moment of understanding. We reach them with ideas that will help them relate to each other and create a better world. There’s something special about who we are and what we do at Scholastic. “The children in the world that we serve are precious resources. We need to make sure we have the right people in our company so we can continue to help them.”
