As the Product Development and Design Assistant, you’ll interface between the design and editorial teams, supporting project workflow and providing graphic design assistance.


Key Responsibilities:
• Support the design team by creating packaging, covers, and interior layouts, as well as presentations and special projects
• Assist the office and senior staff by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, processing expense reports, and taking notes
• Support Product Development and office staff by testing instructions, printing spreads, distributing notes, researching competitive products, creating samples, and keeping the office organized
• Create contracts and manage invoices as needed
• Prepare for large meetings by creating demand grids, drafting P&Ls and budgets, and gathering data across departments
• Coordinate freelance copyediting and proofreading
• Attend weekly project and product development meetings


• Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills
• Fluency in InDesign, Photoshop, and the Adobe Suite
• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a team
• College degree or equivalent work experience
• Passion for kids products, crafts, maker movement and DIY a big plus!
