The Customer Data & Applications Domain consists of multiple programs within Scholastic including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Customer Master Data Management (CMDM) & Customer Service Systems (CSS).

Scholastic Technical Services (STS) is looking for a Program Manager that will work across each of the programs within the Customer Data & Application domain to plan and deliver capabilities to multiple business units across Scholastic. The Program Manager will manage Program Scope, Cross-Program Dependencies, Budget, Resourcing and Schedules to help deliver best in class experience across Scholastic.

A successful Program Manager will have a passion for ensuring delivery of high quality solutions to our end customers, business stakeholders and other dependent programs all on time and within budget.

This is an opportunity to collaborate with multiple agile development teams delivering solutions leveraging technologies such as, Spring boot, Reltio for Customer MDM, Java, Angular, REST/SOAP, NoSQL, Spring Boot, AWS/Cloud and Redshift, Tableau, and Adobe Experience Manager.


• Collaborate with the Customer Data & Applications Team Lead on creating and enacting the Program Vision, Goals and Objectives.

• Create and manage CRM, CMDM & CSS program roadmaps across business units by collaborating with multiple Product Owners and Stakeholders from the Business as well as other teams in STS to understand needs and respective priorities.

• Manage Stakeholder relationships across Scholastic business and technology.

• Coordinate across program teams to ensure Inbound and Outbound dependencies are captured, understood and incorporated into Roadmaps.

• Manage resources on Customer Program teams to ensure that Teams are right-sourced to achieve Roadmap commitments

• Ensure delivery of technology initiatives on time and within budget based Customer Program Roadmaps

• Forecast and report Program Budget, Schedule, Status, and anticipated Risks

• Help organize the structure and process for seamless program delivery!


A successful candidate will have the following:

• 10+ years of professional experience in management of business-technology programs
• Prior experience of managing programs on Salesforce or other CRM platforms. Experience in successfully delivering at 2 full life cycle CRM Implementations.
• Experience with implementing or working with MDM solutions, highly desired.
• Ability to balance and manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of integration and data warehouse technology is strongly desired including familiarity with AWS, Redshift, Kafka, Spring Boot Camel or similar systems.
• Experience working with multiple agile engineering teams including a mix of onshore and offshore resources.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to establish goals and set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering high quality software that balance technical and business goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with a variety of audiences at all levels.
