The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Technology Services Portfolio Manager. They will be responsible for compiling and reviewing various financial and non-financial analyses and reporting measurements of the STS (Scholastic Technology Services) organization. They will be responsible for evaluating business segment performance, assisting with management and update of a consolidated rolling forecast, and analyzing monthly project financials and key performance indicators. The Senior Financial Analyst will help to automate and build out efficient processes for tracking program financials and value driven metrics. They will also assist with various analytical assignments, such as cost/benefit analysis of various transformation projects, business case development, budget preparation, forecasting, financial models, and other duties as assigned.




  • Bachelors in Finance or Equivalent Experience

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a financial analyst role

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint)

  • Proficiency in excel analytics and building excel tools for others that are easy to use and understand

  • Knowledge of some accounting systems or other business systems

  • Strong interest or experience working at the intersection of technology and finance, with the ability to quickly learn how the technology function is reflected in budgets and financial reports

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills

  • Highly organized and efficient - Ability to prioritize work across competing efforts

  • Ability to clearly communicate results of analysis

  • Experience working with timekeeping and financial systems

  • Interest in process improvement and efficiency

  • A team player that will think strategically and effectively when faced with difficult challenges
