The Supply Chain Strategy Analyst is responsible for complex reporting and analysis to support the supply planning, demand planning and manufacturing organizations.




He/she is responsible for complex SQL scripting, creation of SSIS packages and supporting a robust library of operational reports. The Analyst works closely with other systems teams to ensure that enhancements, upgrades and implementations are successfully deployed.


With experience and acquired business acumen, the Analyst can grow to provide analysis that supports the department’s strategic goals, making data-driven process improvement recommendations.



Operational Reporting

o Write and support complex SQL scripts using a variety of query editors, including Microsoft Visual Studio and TOAD

o Create detailed reports in Microsoft Reporting Services while supporting a broad library of supply chain, logistics and manufacturing reports

o Support Tabular projects in Microsoft Analysis Services

o Build and publish custom interactive reports and dashboards in Tableau

o Prioritize and execute time-sensitive ad hoc reports

o 2-3 years experience required

Systems Support

o Partner with numerous systems’ teams to support enhancements, migrations and integrations impacting Supply Chain systems

o Execute QA for Supply Chain systems as well as downstream recipients of Supply Chain data in accordance with SOX regulations

Facilitate Efficiency Improvements

o Identify opportunities for automation

o Improve speed to delivery and reliability of information

o Develop tools that support self-service BI throughout the organization, ensuring that information is easily accessible, understandable and relevant

Conduct Business Analysis to Drive Continuous Process Improvement

o Analyze large datasets to identify trends and provide guidance to Scholastic’s business channels

o Provide data-driven means of achieving strategic goals
